The generator is the source of the system power that is connected to a 3-phase electricity supply. The power which is converted internally into an energy multiple by way of built-in frequency converters, goes into the workpiece via the induction coil.
(example: 16 amp connection for heating 2 shaft ends > 80 amps per induction coil goes into the workpiece resulting in a heat level of 180C in 6 seconds)
The induction coils: always adapted to the workpiece to be heated with the desired temperature profile (the heating zone). We have different types of induction coils depending on the way in which the energy must be transferred to the work-piece.
- energy goes to the inside (shafts – rollers – bearing inner rings, etc)
- energy goes to the outside (housings – in drill holes)
- energy goes to one flat side (heavy gearwheels – automated production)
- energy enters workpiece flexibly (individually determined shape and zone to be heated)
